My Students
My 17 little Kindergarten students are full of energy, hardworking, loving, special little people! They love coming to school and learning each day. We have an amazing, safe and loving school system for these kids, but some of them come to school with so many issues or other things happening in their lives.
My students love to play, build, and create.
They love anything that involves dancing and movement. My students have grown so much since August, and I cannot wait to see what learning goals they meet this coming May. They are very successful when provided the right materials to create an engaging and fun environment.
My Project
To help my students learn amid the pandemic, I could use new engaging centers and games to make our learning fun and exciting. Kindergarteners love center time! My goal is to try and re-engage those students who became disconnected or “more shy” during this pandemic time. Also, providing support and interventions they need to get on grade level. These centers and games I have requested will allow my students to work with their partner at their center while I work with a small group.
Sitting in the reading corner area, reading and looking at books is one of their most favorite places to be!
To make our class and our reading center more engaging and comfortable, I have requested a child size couch that my students would love to have. My students love the flexible seating that we have in our class, but I know they would love to have a couch to sit on and read with a friend. The centers and games I have requested would be very engaging for their learning also!
To bring my dream learning activity to life, I’d love to get centers/games for every skill we have to teach in kindergarten and to also have all the supplies needed to create a fun, exciting curriculum for my students. Simple items such as playdoh and many other sensory items are also very useful for this age and for my special needs students as well. This would allow my students the hands-on learning that they LOVE! And we know, when they love learning, and they love school our success rate for learning is so much better!
