My Project

Many of my students, just like adults, are struggling to come back to communicating face to face. The isolation from the pandemic has caused our little ones to lack the skills needed to be good listeners, take turns and share. Most got in the habit of doing things on their own or not at all. The majority of my students come from a low income, transient setting. Most of them have homes that are not stable. They see our classroom as a safe place.

My goal is to continue to make a classroom environment where students can grow socially, emotionally and academically through collaborative ways.

The flexibility of seats makes this transition easier and more exciting for the students. They get very happy to pick a different seat everyday, unfortunately flexible seating is a costly project our school can not afford. I have, however done my best over the years to make our class a comfortable place to learn and will continue to do so everyday.
