This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Kindergarten and first-grade students, many of whom are Nerodiverse learners and English Language Learners, benefit greatly from a learning environment that supports their diverse needs. One of the key strategies to enhance their learning experience is to provide flexible seating options that allow them to choose how and where they learn best. Whether they need a quiet corner to focus, a cozy seat to dive into a book, or a space to work with others, flexible seating empowers students to take ownership of their learning.

It has been proven that flex seating (like our requested cube chairs) has the potential to improve concentration, productivity, and quality of life for all individuals.

These flexible seating options will not only make the classroom more comfortable and inviting but also support the unique learning needs of my Special Education and ELL students. By giving them the freedom to choose where they learn best, we can help them build confidence, improve their focus, and enhance their academic performance.
