This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are the most amazing and diverse group of kinders! We are a neighborhood school in a Title I district with a high percentage of children from low-income families. However, this does not stop them from always trying their best, or going above and beyond in the classroom community.
"I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I understand."
Kindergartners are curious about their surroundings and soak up information like a sponge. I want to give them everything I can to help them experience what they need to understand their world.
My Project
Once we are able to return to school, I want to make sure that our classroom is a place where my students can feel calm and welcomed. By bringing in furniture that promotes a natural and peaceful environment, my students will be able to better focus on learning. We are requesting shelves, baskets, pouffes, a rug and artificial plants.
You can help me do this by making sure that our classroom is inviting, pleasant and serene.
The items in my Cozy Comfy Reading Nook project will enhance the reading experience for my students. In addition, it will help them build a love of reading through peaceful and tranquil memories.
