This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Kindergarten through 2nd Grade students are students I have worked with for up to 3 years now. I was a Kindergarten teacher for 4 years before moving to K-2 one on one support. I have spent years with some of these children and know what they need to grow and show their learning.

All of my students are passionate about expanding their knowledge base, challenging themselves, and getting themselves ready for college and career!

My students are goal oriented and know that with a strong foundation in literacy and math, they open doors that are only opened through an excellent education.

My Project

This beautiful listening center will be a much needed addition to our literacy work at school. This center will drive engagement and will serve as a positive behavior reinforcement for all students who will want to make sure they earn their time at this center.

The unique interaction with text in this center gives our students still struggling with their literacy development a chance to independently access text that would be out of their reading range otherwise.

The ability to listen and follow along to text will build lasting good habits and is a fun way for students to build their love of reading!
