Comfy Cozy in the Classroom...More Flexible Seating!

Help me give my students a wide variety of flexible seating options to allow them to thrive in their work environment during the school day.

My Project

My students love flexible seating in the classroom. I believe in this so strongly that I recently bought a second-hand 8x10 rug with my own personal money to provide opportunities for my students to have a place to read and do their work during independent work time. This serves as an alternative to sitting at their desk all day long. I would love to expand this idea by providing a few other options such as lap desks, a standing desk, comfortable floor chairs, and some wobble stools to place at the group table during small group intervention time.

My students will be able to have a choice where they work which will make them more engaged and attentive.

Some students find it challenging to stay engaged and focused while sitting for extended periods. Offering a standing desk or other seating options as part of flexible seating allows students to choose a position that suits their individual needs and preferences, potentially enhancing their engagement, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and attentiveness in the classroom.

All of these items will also help enhance collaboration and communication, as well as support the different students who have different learning styles and needs. By donating to our project, you will help to improve and increase student attention and focus, and ultimately, help to increase their academic achievement as well.

I really can't wait to see this dream become a reality for them. Thanks so much for considering helping them to succeed, giving them the power of choice, and allowing them to thrive in the classroom.
