My Students

Hello! I am the lucky teacher of fourth graders! My class size ranges between 21 and 25 students who come to me with a variety of backgrounds and needs! One thing they all share in common is a sense of pride and ownership in their learning! The students have a zest for learning and enjoy showing what they know and how they have grown!

I strive to give each of my students a safe, fun, comfortable, and conducive to learning kind of environment with active and plentiful hands on opportunities to aide in our learning experiences!

To continue growing the environment as well as the personalized learning journey, I would love to be able to provide a new meeting area and additional flexible seating for all. Currently, we have two small rugs that are in disrepair. Having a cozy and comfy meeting place is imperative as we spend so much time together reading and learning! It is my greatest wish to show my students that we all can come together to support children, learning, and their futures! Thank you!

My Project

We are requesting two new rugs for our classroom to use during our whole group lessons, small group work, and independent work time. Our current rugs are fraying and have become trip hazards. My students need a soft, clean, comfortable carpet that invites them to learn. We spend most of our day on the floor and my students would love to have a comfy space of their own while they take on the learning and growing challenges of fourth grade. Additionally, we are requesting more laminating pouches to help preserve our most masterful work and examples!

Having these classroom rugs will allow my students to stay focused on their learning instead of worrying about the frayed/ripped areas and who has to sit off the rug...as our current is too small for whole group!

Minimizing distractions and increasing focus is optimal for all of my learners!
