My Students

This upcoming year, I will teach 1st grade, and my students are diverse. Many are from low economic homes. Many children are below grade level. These children come to school every day with very diverse needs. As their teacher and caregiver, it is my goal to ensure that my students are the most successful that they can be. In my room, we constantly look towards to the future by considering ourselves the Penn State Class of 2035. Every little bit that you fund, a child gets closer to that goal.

My Project

Many students across the country have not stepped foot in a classroom in over a year. My district is no different. As a new first grade teacher, some of my students will have never been inside a classroom of their very own.

After a year of learning over Zoom, I would like to give my students a warm, inviting and exciting classroom to learn in.

Children deserve a classroom that feels comfortable to them. I would like to use the assortment of pillows to provide floor seating. Additionally, the magnetic shelving would house new books for easy access. Lastly, the classroom decor will provide a cohesive look that will ensure our classroom feels like a home away from home.
