I work in an inner-city school where most of my students come from low-income households. The neighborhoods where my students are from surround them with poverty and still my students come to school ready to learn. Their little minds are still full of wonder and curiosity and want to explore as much as possible.
My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions!
They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects, and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically.
My Project
We all have bad days, including Kindergartners. Some days kindergarten students miss home, are unmotivated, or are just sad and need time and a space to reset and rejoin the class.
Pillows make everyone feel better and more comfortable!
So does a little bit of privacy. That's why I'm asking for the giant calming comfy pillows to make a comfy calming corner for my students. The tent will offer them a sense of privacy while they have their moment and regroup.
Some students may need a little more to help calm them down and make them feel better. That's where the weighted dog and fidgets will come into play.
