My Project
I am excited to launch a project aimed at creating a welcoming and engaging classroom library space and flexible seating for our young at-risk readers in kindergarten through third grade.
My goal is to develop a cozy, inviting reading area that will inspire a love for books and enhance literacy skills for my students.
This project will transform a corner of my classroom into a nurturing library space, featuring a cozy rug, an organized bookshelf display, and comfortable, kid-sized seating. This area will not only offer a place for students to engage in literacy-based activities but also provide a quiet, comfortable spot for reading.
In addition, I would like to add some flexible seating options for students when they are meeting with me in a small group. Flexible seating helps increase engagement by allowing students to choose where and how they work best, which can lead to improved focus and collaboration. This supports diverse learning styles and needs, and promotes self-regulation and responsibility.
