This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom rug is an important learning space in our classroom. It is the center of our classroom. Most of our learning takes place on the classroom rug. We read books together, have group discussions, engage in science meaning making, and lay and read independently on our classroom rug. Our classroom has flexible seating so students spread out everywhere to read and do their work. Having a new classroom rug as well as a rug in our book corner will give the students additional places to foster and build their love of reading.
