Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love to read! My goal is to create an environment where students can curl up with a good book and continue to support their love for reading. My vision is to create a safe space in my classroom where students can get a book, get comfortable and read.
I teach second grade in both English and Spanish my students are bilingual and they love to read both books in Spanish and English.
With these materials they will continue to read and develop their language skills.
Right now I only have a rug that we use for whole group. I would like to provide a safe space where students can read. This will encourage them to keep reading and further expand their love for books. If I receive these donations they will not only help my current class but also future students.
