My Students
As a teacher in a school that serves students in Pre-Kindergarten through third grade with different learning styles and levels, it is difficult to actively engage all students. I teach 19 second grade students who are eager to learn new skills and practice them until they are infused into their brains.
The students in my class are excited to accept new challenges with vigor and strive to be the best they can be.
My students love to practice new skills using engaging books and materials. With the assistance of these positive and meaningful learning experiences, students will strive to reach academic excellence and goals.
My Project
When adults have a project that demands a great deal of attention, they tend to work in a non-threatening and comfortable environment when they attack the difficult task. Why do you think Starbucks is such a popular place to find people working? The environment created by Starbucks is very inviting and provides a conducive work atmosphere with the exceptional lighting, different table and seating styles, and free WiFi.
My students also deserve the opportunity to work in a location that will assist with their productivity, including proper lighting, appealing decorations, and a comfortable carpet.
A new carpet would provide a very comfortable and cozy location where students could work in groups, as an entire class, with partners or even independently to become responsible and successful for their own learning!
Each morning, my students will gather on the cozy carpet for Morning Meting. They will also have the opportunity to sit on the carpet for whole class instruction as well as during math and reading each day. We will also meet on the carpet in the afternoon to review and discuss the events of the day. With the addition of a cozy and comfortable carpet in our classroom, my children will be better equipped to become actively engaged in their learning!
