I am a Title I fourth grade teacher at an elementary school. My students are diverse and have different needs.
My goal is to support students who struggle to maintain focus and stillness and improve Fun Friday options.
The requested flexible seating and fidget bands are for students who need to be moving while they are learning. By providing different seating options students release excess energy in a way that is not disturbing. These seating and fidget bands offer sensory stimulation that is acceptable in the classroom.
The board games, magnetic tiles and student rewards are for Fun Fridays My students love Fun Friday and I want to provide them with games and rewards that are available for everyone. The magnetic tiles are the perfect addition to our Fun Fridays and can be used for team building, math, and more! The timers help structure the learning environment. They can be used for games or rotations.
The classroom supplies are to provide students with extra materials. The envelopes for security of documents or money that goes to the office. The label maker is to organize our classroom so everyone knows where everything belongs or where something is. The Expoʻs are for my students when they use their individual whiteboards. The magnetic pocket folders are to stick to the whiteboards to easy access to paper supplies or worksheets. The headphones are for students who cannot afford to purchase their own.
The project supplies like poster board and pipe cleaners are to foster creativity. In my class we do projects that require students to create things from more than paper and pencils. Providing the extra materials will foster more creative ideas without putting stress on the families to buy supplies themselves.
