This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that my students LOVE coming to the library! They are excited to check out books and are eager to hear about new authors.
My students are just learning about magazines and periodicals.
I want to create a cozy reading area with the over-sized floor cushions and magazine racks to make their reading time enjoyable. They love having the opportunity to stretch out and relax while reading about interesting topics and current events.
Having access to magazines allows me to reinforce using text features to increase their reading comprehension.
