This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This comfy rug will provide a flexible area for students to decompress and manage their stress. Having a cozy, calming rug area, will welcome students who might be overstimulated and need a place to sit, away from their seat.

Little learners need social emotional supports in the classroom, to prevent them from experiencing anxiety that can hinder their learning.

This rug will be that space for my students to sit and read, take a mindful moment, or write in their journal, when they need to take a brain break. Having this area will allow for my students to refresh their mindset and have a successful day.
