My students need 25 student desks. Students are currently sitting in very uncomfortable desk and chairs that are too short to put their legs underneath.

My Students
My students are high school students sitting in elementary size student desks .
My students are high poverty, high-crime young adults.
Many have behavior problems that is made worse by uncomfortable seating. 95% of my students receive free or reduced lunch.Space is also a major issue in my classroom. I have a very small space to lecture, then a small kitchen area, then sewing machine area.
My Project
I can just imagine all of my students sitting comfortably with their legs underneath their desks facing the front of the room actively involved in lecture. I also cannot wait for the desks and chairs to be attached so there is no more desk and chair swapping during class time.
This project is important to me as a teacher because by having this project complete is one less thing my students will have blocking them for success in the classroom.
I also have a small classroom so smaller desks will take up much less room than the old desks.
