My Students
My students in Philadelphia are absolutely amazing! My second grade classroom is so diverse that it makes teaching that much better everyday! It is great to see how they all learn from each other every day even though they come from different backgrounds culturally and economically.
My students deserve the same opportunities as any other thriving district!
They love reading and writing. It truly makes my day rewarding! They are learning and growing every day from reading and writing in the classroom! I love watching them succeed in reading!
My Project
No one likes to sit in a hard chair all day, especially if you’re a child. I would love for my second graders to be able to get up out of their hard, uncomfortable chairs for part of the school day and sit in a comfortable seat to enjoy reading a book. These chairs would be perfect for our reading center in the classroom.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
The sofa, bean bag chair, wobble seats, and soft seats will be used for a comfortable and exciting space for them to read or write. Students would look forward to reading time so much more if they had the option to sit in one of these instead of sitting at their desk. If it helps motivate kids to read, I’m all for it!
