Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students here are from a low-income family oriented community. Students come from local communities around the corner and share the campus with another four schools. The students are well behaved independent kids. The students are from local communities who live a struggled life but know how to move forward.
Most of the kids are excited to come to school and are ready to work.
They need guidance and that is what we are here for. They seek help and we, as teachers, help them out. Bright and smart students who enjoy their life even though they might have struggles out of school.
My Project
My athletes need yoga mats so they will not be doing workouts on the concrete floor. The yoga mats will help my athletes to feel comfortable and more willing to exercise and not complain about the concrete floor. Comfortable workouts lead to a motivated athlete, my athletes are playing, flag football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, and softball. They are always feeling down when they are doing exercises in the uncomfortable concrete parking floor on the back of the school. They need to feel motivated and with new mats they will be a little excited to work harder in achieving more for their sports team.
