Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students will have the opportunity to come to a comfortable space that contains soft chairs and a rug to help with the sensory overload of their everyday lives. While in this space students will learn the importance of self-care and communication. Students will also engage in conversations with like aged peers in a supportive and interactive environment. Since the pandemic students have shown a decline in the ability to begin or maintain face to face conversations. Students have also struggled with the understanding of what healthy relationships and boundaries look and feel like.
