Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
By creating a safe and comfortable place with a new rug, my students will have a place that they can read their new books. They will also have a place where they can play new games to strengthen their social skills with their peers.
My goals for this project are to show my students a comfortable place where they are always welcome.
What makes my students special is every student in my classroom is considered minority, due to their race, and ethnicity. We live in a rural area, where they do not have access to much. More than 90% of my students are English Language Learners, and 38% of them are new comers for other countries. They are all extremely hard workers, and I hope to provide them with the necessary means for them to strive in this world.
