My Project
I teach in a middle school classroom for students with moderate special needs. Many of them have a hard time regulating their emotions, and often need to take a break from instruction.
Help me provide new beanbags to improve our calm corner, and give them a safe space to relax.
In a classroom like mine, teaching coping strategies is even more important than academics most days. When students have the opportunity to take a break away from the commotion of the classroom, they are able to come back regulated and ready to learn.
