I absolutely love my students' curiosity, resilience, and eagerness to learn. My class next school year is a combined Kindergarten and First Grade group of Navajo learners, each bringing unique strengths and cultural knowledge to our classroom. They thrive when they feel comfortable, supported, and engaged in hands-on learning experiences.
How These Resources Will Help:
1. Flexible and Comfortable Seating: Many of my students learn best when they can move, wiggle, or sit in a position that helps them focus. Providing alternative seating options will allow them to feel more at ease and ready to engage in learning.
2. New Organizers: A well-organized classroom means less time searching for materials and more time spent learning! These will help students independently access supplies, develop responsibility, and maintain a structured space.
3. Combing Machine for the Teacher: This tool will allow me to create personalized learning booklets for each student, reinforcing key skills in literacy and math. Having tailored resources will help students practice at their own pace and feel successful in their learning.

As Navajo learners in a combined Kindergarten and First Grade classroom, they are building foundational literacy and math skills while also strengthening their connection to their culture and language.
