Comfort Matters in the Classroom!

My Students

My students are indeed special and dear to my heart! They come from low socioeconomic backgrounds just as I did when I was a child. My students are eager to learn, helpful to others and are EXCITED about what each day will bring in our classroom. I see myself in each and every one of them, and I am eager and determined to provide rigorous, rich and engaging experiences for my students every single day. I want our classroom experiences to reflect real world experiences so that those ah-ha moments can occur naturally. Our school offers a wide-range of activities to help assist with all learning needs of our students.

My Project

We all know that students come to us with varying learning abilities which is why they need to have choices of flexible seating within the classroom. With comfort comes learning. The couch, chair, soft seats, rug and tree would make a classroom environment that is comfortable, cozy and relaxing. This will give students a sense that school is a safe place to learn and take risks, and it will provide a sense of belonging. I want my students to have a place that reflects neverending experiences and engaging activities. School should be a place to explore and discover endless capabilities. These materials will help to create the vision I have for my classroom to meet the various learning needs of my students. It will be a place that fits the learning and social needs of my students.
