Comfort in the Classroom

Help me give my students the flexible seating Wobble Stools and the classroom supplies to make our classroom more comfortable.

My Students

My students are very energetic second graders. They are enthusiastic and eager to learn. They are very creative and work hard to be successful. They have a variety of learning needs and perform at different abilities. Some come from homes where a different language is spoken at home. Even though these little ones come from different backgrounds and have different learning needs, they are an amazing group of second graders.

Making my students comfortable in the classroom is essential for learning to take place.

When the students are comfortable they are more likely to perform better in the classroom and their level of concentration will be increased.

Flexible seating will allow my students to be more comfortable and allow them to move their bodies as they work and listen. Many of my students have difficulty focusing and sitting still. The flexible seating will benefit these students greatly. Wobble Stools will help many of my students to be more focused as they are able to continue the movement they need to be successful learners.

My Project

The Wobble Stools will help my students to be more focused and more engaged as they are able to move their bodies while they are doing independent work. My students are clearly more engaged when they are on the Wobble Stools, particularily those students that have trouble paying attention. Students that are able to move their bodies are less likely to disturb other students and misbehave.

The flexible seating I have chosen will give my students an additional seating option.

These Wobble Stools will mainly be used at my guided reading table and will surely make the students eager to go to guided reading!

The classroom supplies such as the pocket charts and chart paper are needed daily.
