My Project
Our students and staff have worked diligently to create a space for our students in our school's greenhouse. Through the eyes of a past 5th grade team, our students and community built and developed our greenhouse into what it is today. Our students work with our aquaponics system to see and learn about the interaction between plants and animals; they love feeding our fish! We have repurposed tables to give our students a place to plant during each season of the year.
Through this project, we will provide our students with a comfortable place to sit, read, work independently and collaborate with one another comfortably in our greenhouse.
This will give us the seating that we desperately need to be able to use the space for class writing and reading time. Our goal is to make our greenhouse more inviting for families and classes to enjoy.
For some of our students, this is the only place where they get to interact with plant life and vegetation. They need a place to sit and read in the greenhouse environment.
