Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from very impoverished backgrounds. These 5th graders have little at home and it’s often not a place of comfort or color. Even with their less than optimal backgrounds they come to school eager to learn and I want to provide them with colorful and comfortable alternatives to sitting in a desk while trying to learn. I want my students to always feel no matter what’s going on at home they have a safe, colorful and engaging classroom filled with books and fun ways to learn! Your contribution will provide my students with ways to find the most comfortable seating and location in my class to optimize learning! Learning English Language Arts is hard enough for 5th graders, but when you come to school having very little of your own, and highly stressful situations at home, a safe, colorful, and comfortable place to immerse yourself in learning could be their only bright spot in life. Let’s work together to give these students (105 of them) the best possible learning experience possible!
