Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with limited and non-verbal autistic students. My students are special because every student has their own unique strengths, challenges, and perspectives, but they push through every day to do their best. I'm requesting your help to purchase some fans to help keep our classroom cool during the hot summer days.
Having fans in the classroom will help my students focus better without distraction from the heat.
It will also improve ventilation and create a more comfortable setting. Since many of my students are non-verbal, it can be difficult to know what they want or need at times. Something as simple as a change to the environment can make a big difference.
