My class is In School Suspension. My students are struggling to fit in and learn their place in life. Most students are in my room for 8 hours. Many of them are uncomfortable in traditional desks, so I have flexible seating in my classroom. We are in desperate need of some more comfortable chairs to go with our learning booths.
The new office chair will enable the students to sit in a more relaxed setting while completing their class assignments.
The students will use their classroom behavior to earn time in the office chair which will be shared by all. Having to spend 8 hours in a plastic chair can be challenging. This comfort of an office chair will help encourage students to do their work so they can sit in comfort. I love giving these troubled students rewards to show they can do better.
