Comfort & Confidence: Fueling Young Minds in Special Education

Help me give my students comfortable bean bag chairs and nourishing snacks to create a calm, supportive space where they can focus, learn, and thrive.

My Project

My 3rd-grade special education students are incredibly resilient, kind, and full of curiosity. Each child brings a unique perspective and a strong desire to learn, even when faced with challenges. What makes them special is their perseverance and the joy they find in small successes. They support one another and approach each day with hope and determination. To help them succeed, they need a learning environment that feels safe, comfortable, and nurturing.

The bean bag chairs and snacks will make a significant difference in their learning experience.

The bean bags provide a cozy, flexible seating option that helps students with sensory and attention needs feel calm and focused during lessons. Comfortable seating reduces anxiety and allows them to concentrate better. Healthy snacks will keep their energy levels steady and prevent hunger from distracting them during important learning activities. My goal for this project is to create a welcoming space that removes barriers to learning and helps each student reach their full potential.

With these resources, my students will be better equipped to engage, participate, and grow both academically and emotionally. I am confident that by addressing their basic comfort and nutrition needs, we can foster an environment where they feel valued and motivated to achieve their best.
