Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our comfort closet provides supplies to students who are in need.
On a daily basis we provide care packages which include supplies such as deodorant, sanitary napkins, combs, brushes, toothbrush and toothpaste, clothes and other essential supplies.
These are items students should not have to worry about not having and focus more on their education and social emotional learning.
Our students are full of energy, smart. creative, and simply enjoyable to be around and watch grow into the young adults that have dreams and aspirations. Hygiene is critical for young teenagers who are faced with peer pressure, social injustices, and other critical factors that many adults may take for granted.
