My Project

In our special education Pre-K classroom, snack time is more than just a break—it’s a moment of comfort, connection, and nourishment. Many of our students have sensory sensitivities, feeding challenges, or limited food preferences, which can make eating a real struggle.

Providing snacks they want—that are familiar, safe, and enjoyable—means they’re more likely to eat, stay energized, and feel emotionally secure throughout the day.

When a child feels safe with their food, it opens the door for trust, engagement, and even trying new things over time.

Meeting them where they are—even at snack time—is one of the most loving ways we can show them they matter. With the right snacks, we’re not just feeding their bodies—we’re feeding their growth, comfort, and sense of belonging.
