Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Throughout the year my students have been amazing at showing up and working hard no matter what has been going on at home. Some days are hard and I can tell when they share with me or their peers, but the way in which they lift each other up, support one another and encourage themselves through random cheers and hugs makes those days have a special place in my heart. My kiddos deserve the world and so much more.
That so much more being a physical space in class that further encourages those snuggles and hugs along with the words of encouragement.
A place to nap if the last few nights have been rough, a place to cuddle when they are working through feelings of sadness and a place of comfort where each student has the ability to utilize.
Having the ability to choose a seat that is not confining will also help my students who have the wiggles to work through them and see that they are just as capable as everyone one else no matter which seat is selected.
