Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The majority of students at my school come from low-income homes and shelters in the community. Although their caregivers do the best they can, they do not always have access to the basic necessities that keep them safe, clean, and confident.

Over the year, a myriad of students has shown up to my classroom hungry, dehydrated, and/or uncomfortable due to not having access to proper care products at home.

With these items, I will create a kit that contains necessities like food, water, and hygiene products for our diverse student population. This will ensure they are fed, hydrated, and confident in their appearance in order to have a successful day of social-emotional and academic learning.
