My students need basic school supplies like crayons and envelopes to start the year. Many students are unable to bring items to school therefore it is important that I provided them in order for them to be successful!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is filled with energetic students who are eager to learn new things. All my students come from the inner city and come with little to no school supplies to meet their basic needs because their family simply can not afford to buy them. I have many students that are English language learners and I need additional ways to support their learning of English in the classroom! My students have a wide range of literacy needs and having additional materials will allow me to provide better instruction!
My Project
I created this project to help my students begin the year with the supplies they need. Most students can not afford to buy basic school supplies, like glue, paper, envelopes and crayons. Therefore, I created this project so they don’t have to worry about not having what they need. I have asked for supplies that will help my students carry important papers home to their families along with their homework. I also asked for supplies that we will use on a daily basis for writing. These supplies are usually ones that I purchase myself in order for my students to be successful from the first day of school.
