This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class is full of thirty energetic Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students in a Charter School setting. We meet together five days a week. All students are encouraged to make personal goals that they work on at school and at home with parents. They love working with technology in our classroom. We celebrate each student as they their personal goals at their own individual pace. My students feel encouraged and supported in our community while contributing to their own learning pathway.
My Project
Our school does not have assigned seating. So having seating options is very important to our class. Students who are given choices during the school day are more willing to take part in learning. Sitting on these bright stools will go a long way from distinguishing our room from a standard school classroom of desks in sterile rows. These adorable stools will be used at one of our round tables that has been lowered for variety in our room. Right now, our students lean against bright pillows on a rug in our library. During our rotations students sit in brightly colored plastic rocker chairs. These adorable bright stools would fit in our classroom plan perfectly.
