My Project

I have established a monthly parent book club for all of the parents of children who attend my early learning center. Every month, I read a story to the parents and teach them how to use the books to build language and literacy skills. At the end of the meeting, each parent gets a copy of the book to keep. When we meet again the next month, we discuss how things went at home and then I read a new book. The feedback from parents has been fantastic! So many parents and grandparents have told me that they had no idea that they could achieve so much through the simple act of reading a book to their child.
