Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am asking for a speaker for the classroom. After teaching these past couple years I have noticed the students are struggling to hear the audio from the SMART board during movies, video clips and lo-fi work music. We also wish to have multi-cultural celebrations and holiday parties in the class year long to celebrate our successes and our cultures with eachother to promote inclusion.

That feeling of calmness and invigoration to do work how been wonders for my students. They love working when they can sing or tap their feet as they write.
Several university studies have shown students can focus more and produce better work when listening to tunes. I like to challenge the norm in my class, teaching may be thought as students being quiet and focused on the work at all times. But even better work can come from an acoustic atmosphere where they can let out their anxieties and look forward to doing work.
