This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have a difficult time expressing themselves as they fear that they will be judged or that no one cares. I want them to know that I welcome and accept them as they are. A place where they know that they are enough.

With materials like coloring pencils and markers, I hope to be able to support them in expressing their feelings creatively when speaking is too hard, with the use of board games, I hope to be able to engage my students in conversations about their feelings and ways to practice self-awareness and mindfulness.
