My Students

As a Special Education teacher, coach, and athletic director I try my best, on a daily basis, to meet all of my learners and athletes needs! I work at a Title I school, which mainly serves majority minority students. We have a wide range of learners, from the exceptional children to the academically gifted. Our school was built in 1967 and has a long tradition of hard workers and community RAM pride! We have worked extremely hard the last few years trying to develop a learning environment both on the field, in the classroom, and now the NEw "HOMEroom" eLearning that promotes character and citizenship, while building confidence and exceptional effort!

My Project

I’m a special education teacher at a middle school in McLeansville NC. We are a Title I majority minority school near Greensboro NC. School closures last spring due to coronavirus impacted 97% of the nation’s 56.6 million students and 94% of the 132,000 private and public schools in the U.S., according to data from Education Week. It was a staggering disruption to education and it left almost every school district in the nation with the monumental and overwhelming task of getting educators, students, and parents set up for eLearning or what I like to call the "NEw HOMEroom".

Come 2 Y(our) Senses!

If our eLearners can learn with the multi-sensory approach we will show massive success in any setting! Noises canceling headphones= limited distraction. Blue Light Glasses= reduced eye strain! Wireless mice = quick navigational movement! From or "NEw HOMEroom" all synchronous and asynchronous projects/assignments/instruction/recordings will be met head on. We are here to bring your hard work and attention into full focus!
