My Project
In today's world, the intersection of art and technology offers boundless opportunities for expression and growth. For preschoolers, especially those from low-income families, access to unconventional art methods can be extremely transformative, showcasing that creativity knows no bounds.
I intend to combine technology and art techniques to help students learn important values such as creativity and resourcefulness, while also promoting their mental health.
The project will involve exploring art methods with unconventional tools like balloons, bubble wrap, and cookie cutters, rather than traditional paint brushes. By embracing these unconventional mediums, my students will learn that art is limitless and that creativity can thrive in unexpected ways; essentially, there are "no rules" for creating art. In addition, the laptop would be an invaluable asset in our classroom, helping my students learn how to navigate new technologies, which will be a crucial life skill in the years to come.
My students are preschoolers from low-income families, so it is imperative that we give them opportunities to express themselves creatively while also fostering their mental health and well-being. I hope that this project will inspire a love of art and creativity in my students, just like my last DonorsChoose projects have. Any help is appreciated!
