Colors of Kindness: Celebrating Every Friend

Help me give my students multiethnic dolls, diversity blocks, multicultural family posters, and magnetic families to help my preschoolers explore and appreciate differences in race and family structures, building empathy and inclusion from an early age.

My Project

I love how open, imaginative, and thoughtful my preschoolers are. They approach the world with curiosity and kindness, and they’re learning how to be caring members of a community. While many of my students come from similar backgrounds, I believe it’s essential to expose them to the beauty of diversity from an early age.

Resources like multiethnic baby dolls, diversity blocks, diverse family structure posters, and multicultural magnetic families will help broaden their understanding of the world beyond our classroom.

These materials provide a natural way to talk about skin color, culture, and family differences in a positive and age-appropriate way. By seeing and playing with a variety of representations, my students can begin to develop empathy, challenge stereotypes, and learn that all people deserve respect and kindness—no matter what they look like or where they come from.
