Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With this project I intend to provide my students with materials that they love to express themselves freely in the art corner or center of our classroom. My students love to use the solid temperas, and since this resource helps them to paint quickly (releasing their great kinesthetic energy), mix colors (which they enjoy a lot), they can create artistic murals together without smearing everything or staining each other. Their art work also dries faster. In the latter two cases, this is unlike with liquid tempera. In addition, with the colored stickers they can add details to their homework and I as a teacher will use these stickers to work on classifications, associations, put numbers and labels that contribute to the organization of the classroom, etc.
