Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergarten classroom is a vibrant inclusion setting filled with diverse learners, including many ESE (Exceptional Student Education) and ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) students. Each of my students brings a unique background, language, and learning style to the classroom. Art is one of the most powerful tools I have to reach them all. It allows them to express ideas and feelings that they may not yet have the words for.
Art makes learning more engaging and meaningful, especially for young learners who are still developing language and fine motor skills.
Unfortunately, art supplies are limited, and many of my students do not have access to materials at home. I am seeking support to stock our classroom with a variety of essential art supplies — paint, brushes, markers, paper, pipe cleaners, tissue paper, and more. These tools will allow my students to experiment, create, and connect with their learning in new ways.
