Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my classroom, I support students with are non-verbal, multilingual learners and have multiple disabilities. Visual supports are an essential part of how they understand, communicate and engage with their environment.
A color printer is not just a convenience but it is a vital tool to meet the diverse learning needs of my students.
The tool will help me create individualized materials that are engaging, culturally responsive and adapted to each student's abilities. From picture schedules and visual choice boards to adapted books and communication symbols, color makes information more accessible, understandable and meaningful. Your generosity will help me create a more inclusive, equitable and visually rich learning environment that honors every child's right to learn in a way that works for them.
