My students love coming to school every day, they are always excited about what new things they are going to learn. My personal goal this year is to meet the needs of all my students better by incorporating a new learning strategy each month.
I have 20 students, they are very energetic and eager to learn.
Our school is in a very low economic area but that doesn't stop us from working on becoming the best elementary in the state. The resources are limited here for educational purposes. Teachers do not receive any extra funding for school supplies for their classroom. I am proud to work for this school and continue to strive to meet the needs of my students.
My Project
Crayons- My students go through crayons so fast, I would love to have a couple class sets so that my students always have crayons available to them. We work on class projects constantly and first graders LOVE to color.
Mini iPads- I am asking for 2 mini iPads so that I can use them in a small group setting, during reading intervention and math intervention. There are so many FREE educational apps that can be used on the iPads. I only have 5 student computers in my classroom, so adding 2 iPads will really expand learning through technology.
These donations will help my classroom by allowing my children to always have crayons available to them for projects.
My students will learn about technology as it is changing every day and how technology is connected to education. It is a lot more exciting than paper and pencil.
