My students need access to colorful and engaging materials around our room. I have requested a colored printer to create these materials, as well as paper for the materials and laminating pouches to maintain materials.
My students are a lively bunch of eager learners. My students are an inquisitive bunch that are always excited to learn and discover new things in our classroom.
Our school is a Title One School in the heart of Flushing.
Our class is made up of a dynamic and diverse group of students. Our classroom is an ICTS classroom with both General education and Special education students. Many students in the class are new to our country and English Language Learners.
My Project
The color printer, card stock and laminating pouches requested in this project will enable me to create a variety of resources for my students and reuse them. These resources will help the diverse learning styles to improve academically, enhance their focus, as well as keep them engaged during daily routines. Some of the resources that can be created using the materials requested are strategy charts, visual supports and color code items through out the classroom.
Student who are presented with engaging classroom materials and opportunities are always more eager to be in school.
Having the ability to create more engaging materials for my students will enhance their school experience tremendously.
Many students in my classroom are new to our country and having engaging materials will hopefully make them feel more excited to return to school every day. Additionally many of my students have special needs and ENL and are known to be more successful with color coded materials and materials that are more appealing or engaging.
