My students need something to smile about. They have had a tough start to their school career. If something as simple as smelly markers help them excited to go to school and do their work I am going to try to get that for these wonderful kids. These markers and cardstock will be a great addition to my classroom. Every day I use these markers to put stars on kids papers and write our morning message. As the year goes on the kids are doing more and more of the writing on or morning message. Having these thin pens will make it possible for them to write so it is legible.
Kids get so excited just to be able to smell the stars and smiley faces on their papers when they complete an activity.
I'd love for them to be able to have their own set that they can use for art and when we have rainy day recess where they have to stay in the classroom to keep them out of bad weather. As a teacher I have been going through so many of these markers this year, writing their morning messages and using them as I go around each day to mark papers. Sixty seven pound cardstock is a great weight of paper for the kids to use so that the markers don't go through!
I am hoping to use these pens to motivate my writers to get more on their papers! What kid doesn't love the fabulous smells of Mr. Sketch Markers!
