Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are from a low income area in my town. My town is a border city. My kindergarten students are learning basic skills needed to succeed in school. My children are very curious about learning and they are learning the basic skills. My students will be ready to tackle anything by the end of this year.
My students are learning vocabulary, language and numbers and are in need of manipulative materials, vivid pictures to display examples of newly acquired vocabulary and colorful activities.
My Project
By having a color ink printer, my students will have colorful materials in their hands if my project is funded. The colorful material will provide them with vocabulary and math skills needed to succeed! It makes a BIG difference when the material is in color.
By having colorful materials in their learning centers, my students will engage and their learning and their world will be full of colorful and meaningful material.
They are already using some material in color but this will provide them with updated work and activities. It makes it exciting when my students can go to their learning centers and find different activities ready for them to use.
