Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students use their imagination throughout the year in STEAM Class. These crayons, paint sticks, and colored pencils will be used by my students all year to help bring some color to their projects during the school year.

Crayons, markers and the other art supplies are essential in a classroom because they foster creativity, improve fine motor skills, and enhance learning across subjects.

Here’s why they’re important to my classroom: Art supplies like crayons and markers will allow my students to express themselves, think outside the box, and develop their creative skills within the STEAM lab. Art supplies will provide a safe space for students to communicate emotions they might struggle to express verbally. Using pencils, crayons, and markers helps younger students develop coordination and fine motor skills essential for writing and other tasks. Artistic activities can make lessons more engaging and help students better understand concepts in subjects like math, science, and history. Completing art projects can give students a sense of accomplishment and confidence in their abilities. Art activities can cater to various learning styles and abilities, ensuring that every student feels included.
